A 66-year-old Briton, suspected of sexual assault on a flight attendant on Saturday during a flight from Leeds (England) to Alicante (Spain), which caused the plane to be diverted to Nantes, will be tried on December 13, we learned from the police and the prosecution. The defendant admitted the facts
Saturday morning, “at the request of the captain, the plane was diverted to Nantes airport” and the man was taken into custody, border police told AFP on Tuesday, specifying that the flight attendant had lodged a complaint. According to the Nantes prosecutor’s office, the Briton, a retiree, “has been placed under judicial supervision pending his appearance before the criminal court on December 13”.
