  • Breel Embolo is turning his back on the Bundesliga. After 3 years at Schalke and Gladbach, the Nati striker is moving to Monaco for 4 years.

“Breel approached us with the desire to do something new. In the end we found a solution that satisfies all sides,” said Gladbach sports director Roland Virkus.

Is it enough for a regular place?

According to media reports, Monaco transfers a good 12 million euros to Gladbach. The team from the Principality, coached by Belgian Philippe Clement, finished third in Ligue 1 last season and will qualify for the Champions League in the third round.

Embolo will have notable competition up front with French international Wissam Ben Yedder, Germany’s Kevin Volland and Liverpool-signed Japanese Takumi Minamino.
