Navya appoints Sophie Desormière as Chairman of the Management Board


(AOF) – Navya has announced the appointment of Sophie Desormière as Chairman of the Management Board. The members of the Supervisory Board of the specialist in autonomous mobility systems wished to strengthen the governance of the company and unanimously approved the appointment of Sophie Desormière as Chairman of the Management Board. She will take up her duties on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

“After a year 2021 marked by many operational advances, the appointment of Sophie allows Navya to integrate an experienced profile to ensure the transformation of the company with a view to the deployment of commercial level 4 autonomous mobility solutions in France and abroad. ‘foreigner’ explained Sophie Desormière.

With 25 years of solid experience in management positions within large international groups, including 17 years in the automotive and mobility industry at Valeo and 8 years in the chemical industry at Solvay, Sophie Desormière has also demonstrated in recent years its ability to establish lasting relationships within private equity ecosystems with American and Asian financial partners on mobility projects.

Pierre Lahutte, Chairman by Interim of Navya during the second half of 2021, retains his responsibilities in the areas of Strategy and Partnerships within the Management Board, in order to continue the discussions initiated with key strategic partners.
