(AOF) – Navya has signed a service contract with Muses Europe for the assembly of 300 electric utility vehicles with the aim of participating in the development of the future autonomous version. The first pre-series of 300 Muses vehicles will be assembled by Navya at its Lyon-Vénissieux site, which will enable it on the one hand to optimize its production capacity and on the other hand to strengthen its industrial understanding of the vehicle with the aim of better prepare for its automation.

“The Muses urban vehicle is a versatile electric utility vehicle allowing a large load volume while favoring its agility and ease of navigation in city centers. Its innovative design improves its energy efficiency and increases its autonomy while reducing battery quantity and cost,” explains Autonomous Mobility Systems.

This project is thus part of Navya’s strategic roadmap, which aims to integrate its AD autonomous driving pack into existing rolling bases.

New giant in used cars

The market, which represents 400 billion euros in Europe, is subject to a movement of concentration. The British group Constellation has taken over the retail platform, CarNext.
