NBA 2K23 is getting really expensive: gamers have to dig deep into their pockets


Basketball fans can look forward to NBA 2K23 this year. The sports game for PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as PC and Nintendo Switch appears in four different versions. However, if you want all the extras, you also have to spend a lot of money.

NBA 2K23: All versions at a glance

The basketball game NBA 2K23 presents fans with a difficult decision this year. The Publisher 2K has whole four versions of the sports game presented, all of which come with different content and also different prices:

the standard edition traditionally contains only the base game. For the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, 2K Games charges for it 69.99 euros. Fans with a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S must 79.99 euros to count.

the Digital deluxe edition then beats along 84.99 euros to book. In addition to the base game, however, you will also receive extras for the My-Team mode, such as 10,000 points, 10 tokens, 23 promo packs, cards for players Devin Booker and Michael Jordan, a free-agent My-Team option pack, a Diamond Jordan shoe and a Ruby Coach card pack. There is also content for MyCareer mode, including various skill boosts, Gatorade boosts as well as T-Sirts, a custom skateboard, a backpack and arm sleeves.

NBA 2K23 lets you pay for XP boosters

the Michael Jordan Edition contains all the content of the Digital Deluxe Edition plus an additional 100,000 of the game’s currency. The version costs 99.99 euros.

the limited championship edition then costs proud 149.99 euros. In-game, you’ll get the Michael Jordan Edition content plus XP Boosters that help you progress faster in My Team and My Career modes. There is also a go-kart in the Michael Jordan design. If you also enjoy watching basketball pros, the most expensive version of the game also includes a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass.

NBA 2K23 will be released on September 09, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
