NCIS Hawaii: M6 disrupts the broadcast of the detective series

After only three weeks on the air, M6 has decided to speed up the broadcast of “NCIS: Hawaii”, the newcomer to the NCIS franchise which follows the teams of special agents at Pearl Harbor.

On Saturday February 18, M6 launched the broadcast of NCIS: Hawaii, the latest spin-off in the NCIS franchise: Special Investigations.

Carried by Vanessa Lachey, this series follows Jane Tenant, a single mother, trying to juggle her personal and professional life, who leads with an iron fist the team of NCIS Pearl, a team of special agents working in the office. of Pearl Harbor, composed among others of agents Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant), Jesse Boone (Noah Mills), Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-Bustami) and Ernie Malik (Jason Antoon).

Four episodes per night

Until last Saturday, M6 broadcast NCIS: Hawaii with two new episodes each Saturday evening. But from this March 11, the channel has taken the decision to accelerate the broadcast of the series since it will now be 4 new episodes which will be offered from 9:10 p.m.

If the channel did not explain the reasons for this change in programming, this decision is most likely linked to the disastrous audiences that the series achieves each week.

When it was launched, NCIS: Hawaii had attracted 1.55 million curious people, for an audience share of 8.6%. The following week, the spin-off led by Vanessa Lachey gathered only 1.14 million viewers, or 6.0% audience share.

Newcomer to the NCIS franchise garnered a 10.0% market share from female purchasing managers under the age of fifty. With these scores, M6 was on the fourth step of the audience podium, behind TF1, France 3 and France 2.

Fans of NCIS: Hawaii will therefore have to stay up until 12:30 a.m. if they want to continue to follow the adventures of the special agents of NCIS Pearl.

A season 3 for NCIS: Hawaii

If in France, NCIS: Hawaii seems to have trouble finding its audience, in the United States, the series is a great success. While season 2 is currently being broadcast across the Atlantic, CBS has announced its renewal for a third burst of episodes which will arrive at the start of the next school year on the channel.

And as good news never comes alone, the American channel also revealed that NCIS: Special Investigations would return for a 21 season, the detective series still being, even after 20 years on the air, one of the strong brands of the network.

Find four new episodes of NCIS: Hawaii every Saturday from 9:10 p.m. on M6.
