NCIS on M6: season 19 broadcast on Tuesday evening against Koh Lanta

At the beginning of March, M6 will broadcast season 19, still unpublished in France, of “NCIS”. A new burst of episodes which will be marked by many changes since Mark Harmon will bid farewell to the series after 18 years at its head.

Good news for fans of NCIS: Special Investigations! The series will return to the air for the new season 19 from Tuesday March 1 at 9:10 p.m. on M6. So the traditional Friday time slot is over, the channel has decided to compete directly with TF1 and its behemoth Koh Lanta for this new burst of episodes which promises to be rich in change.

Season 19 of NCIS indeed marks the departure of Mark Harmon, who camped Jethro Gibbs since the launch of the series in 2003. The 70-year-old actor had indeed expressed to the production his desire to leave the series at the end of season 18.

CBS and CBS Studio had then convinced him to come back for a few episodes in order to avoid cancellation for NCIS, and thus ensure the survival of the series for its collaborators.

Mark Harmon will therefore be present during the first 4 episodes of this season 19 which will see Gibbs and his team unmask and arrest a serial killer who has been hunted down by Jethro for several months. A narrative arc which will therefore conclude with the departure of Mark Harmon after 418 episodes spent in the skin of special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

In order to fill this departure, as well as those of Maria Bello and Emily Wickersham, the production decided to breathe new blood into the series by promoting Katrina Law (Hawaii 5-0), who plays special agent Jessica Knight, a character introduced at the end of season 18.

She thus officially joins the NCIS team at the start of season 19, at the request of Vance (Rocky Carroll). Gary Cole, seen in particular in Desperate Housewives, will also become a member of NCIS to perhaps succeed Gibbs as head of the team.

See you every Tuesday evening from March 1 to discover season 19 of NCIS with one new episode per week.
