There are around 26,000 post offices and DHL parcel shops in Germany. Actually quite a lot, but if you are urgently looking for a branch, there doesn’t seem to be one far and wide. You know the problem? Then we recommend that

With just a few clicks, it provides you with all the surrounding branches including the distance, range and opening hours. In this article, we will show you exactly how this works.
Location finder – all post offices nearby
You can use the Deutsche Post location finder to search for post offices in your area. To do this, use either the Internet browser or the Post apps for Android or iOS.
Find post offices in the browser
In the search bar, type your location (address, zip code, or city) or click the crosshair icon to enable location detection.
Select which location type should be searched. You can choose from mailboxes, post offices, DHL parcel shops and packing stations. A filter function is also available for more specific search criteria, for example if you need specific services.
For urgent cases there is a slider for “emptied/opened today”. If you activate this, you will only receive branches that are open today as a result.
Start the search by clicking on the magnifying glass symbol or by pressing the Enter key.
The tool then generates a list of the relevant post office locations in your area. These are sorted in ascending order of distance, so you can see which one is closest.
By clicking on the individual locations (in the list or in the map view) you will receive further information such as the exact address, the opening and shipping closing times or the services offered.

Find post offices in the app
Open the mobile Post app and switch to “Locations” in the menu bar.
Enter your location (address, zip code or city) in the search bar or click the crosshair icon for automatic location detection.
Now click on the filter button and select the desired location type or specific services. You can also tick the “Show still open/empty today” option if you need to complete your send order today. Once selected, click Apply.
You will receive a list of results with all branch locations in your area, sorted in ascending order of distance. You can find out more details by viewing the individual results.
Switch to the map view by clicking on the small red arrow to the right of “Result list”. Just tap on the branches there to see more information.
