In an Instagram video, the physiotherapist shows two very simple tips to effectively soothe neck pain. She recommends practicing these actions regularly, to see a real reduction in neck pain. Here are the two habits to adopt to take care of your neck in case of neck pain.

A massage at the base of the skull

The expert first details how massage the base of the back of the head, in order to soothe neck pain. To perform this massage correctly, she explains that you must place your fingers at the base of the skull, on either side of the neck, then massage in small, deep circles. She advises not to hesitate to press during the massage, in order to really feel its effects on the cervical area.

Stretch your head to the sides

In her video, the physiotherapist then recommends practice stretching to relieve neck pain. To do this, she shows how to tilt your head to the side, accompanying it with your hand. You should feel a slight pull in the cervical area on the side opposite the head and stay in this position for about 30 seconds. She advises repeating the movement frequently to effectively soothe neck pain.
