Neighborhood dispute – Ischlerin garden shed was set on fire out of hatred

A long neighborhood dispute ignites in Bad Ischl in the truest sense of the word. A 43-year-old of his 79-year-old “enemy” is said to have torched the garden shed.

On January 4, 2022 at 7:33 p.m., a neighbor noticed fire noises and smoke development in the small house in the Ischl village of Pfandl. 35 emergency services from the Pfandl fire brigade and 40 emergency services from the Bad Ischl main fire station went to the fire site. When the fire brigades arrived, the garden shed was already in full fire, and the emergency services managed to bring the fire under control within a short period of time. This prevented the flames from spreading to other objects. The garden shed burned down about halfway. Even then, the police suspected that it was not a technical defect. The window was already shot in. This assumption has now come true: the police arrested a 43-year-old from Bad Ischl on January 6, 2022. During the questioning, the man confessed. As a motive, he named a month-long argument with a 79-year-old from Bad Ischler. The gentlemen have a neighborhood dispute. That is why he smashed a window in her house with a brick in December 2021, threatened her dangerously and set the garden shed on fire on January 4, 2022. A 41-year-old friend supported him. The 43-year-old was admitted to the prison, the 41-year-old is reported.
