(CercleFinance.com) – Neoen indicates that it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) covering 215 MW with Stanwell Corporation, an Australian electricity supplier, a contract for a period of 15 years representing 65% of the production capacity of the wind farm in Mount Hopeful.
Located in the region south-west of Rockhampton, in the center of the Australian state of Queensland, this future park will have a total capacity of 330 MW and will be 100% owned by the French renewable energy producer.
The start of construction is scheduled for the second half of 2023 and the start of production for 2026. Once commissioned, this wind farm will produce a quantity of electricity corresponding to the annual consumption of more than 240,000 homes.
