(CercleFinance.com) – Neoen and Prokon, a major renewable energy cooperative, announce the signing of a new ‘Power Purchase Agreement’ (PPA) with Equinix, the service provider at the heart of the global digital infrastructure, for at least 57 MW of green energy in Finland.
Under the terms of this contract, Equinix will purchase for 10 years 60% of the green electricity and guarantees of origin produced by the Storbötet wind farm in Finland.
With a capacity of at least 95 MWp, the wind farm will be located in the Finnish municipality of Uusikaarlepyy, in central Ostrobothnia, region
located in the west of the country.
Its construction should be launched in 2023 for commissioning scheduled for 2025.
Neoen owns 80% of the shares of the project, the remaining 20% belonging to Prokon.
