Almost a true story
The first feature film directed by the late Pascal Chaumeil, L’Arnacoeur is THE French romantic comedy of the 2010s. All the ingredients were there for success, between the delicious duo Romain Duris – Vanessa Paradis, the antics of Julie Ferrier and François Damiens, a binding English lover played by Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, The Walking Dead) and the cult dance revival of Dirty Dancing.
This film, which tells the impossible romance between a professional couple breaker and a young heiress, was a hit at the box office with just under 4 million admissions in France. And this success was also critical since L’Arnacoeur collected 5 César nominations, including those for Best Film and Best Actor, which is quite rare for a comedy of this caliber.

In addition to the five-star cast and the explosive humor, it is the plot of the film that hit the mark. And this scenario, we owe it to Laurent Zeitoun, who was inspired by a family story to write with Jeremy Doner and Yoann Gromb:
