The comics Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley caught the eye of readers between 2004 and 2010, but it was the feature film adaptation by Edgar Wright that allowed the license to become cult. When she could have been put away in the closet, netflix decided to resurrect it with an anime series adaptation produced by Bryan Lee O’Malley, Edgar Wright and BenDavid Grabinski, and Science SARU (Devilman Crybaby, Inu-Oh) to animation. And what delighted the fans is that all the actors from the film will be back to voice their respective characters in the anime!
There first teaser trailer for the project has just been revealed and, if all these actors do not give voice yet, it teaches us that the series will not be called Scott Pilgrim The Animebut Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. The artistic direction will be very close to comics, from the design of the characters to the use of visual effects reminiscent of the paper format.
