October 6: Fair Play
After being revealed in the Bridgerton series, Phoebe Dynevor is starring in a high-tension thriller by Chloe Domont (Billions, Clarice). The young actress plays Emily, a trader who has a secret romantic relationship with her colleague Luke (Alden Ehrenreich, seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story).
Newly married, the couple will soon be undermined by the woman’s recent promotion, an event which should notably expose the mechanisms of power and toxicity at work within the relationship. Between betrayals and low blows, will the couple recover from this war of the sexes?
October 27: Merchants of Pain
After The Gray Man, Chris Evans is back in a new film on Netflix. The former Captain America is starring in Merchants of Pain by David Yates (Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts) alongside Emily Blunt, Andy Garcia and Catherine O’Hara.
If you liked the Painkiller series, you might like the plot of Merchants of Pain. Emily Blunt stars as Liza Drake, a woman who takes a job at a Florida pharmaceutical start-up to secure a better future for herself and her daughter. Soon, she finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy…

October 13: Seminar
Seminar will surely be one of the horrific surprises of this October on Netflix. This horror thriller straight from Sweden promises as many liters of blood as doses of laughter.
This film follows a heterogeneous group of municipal employees who find themselves grappling with internal quarrels during a seemingly innocuous seminar. What they don’t know is that they are going to be pursued by a bloodthirsty killer.
October 20: Old Dads
Comedy directed, co-written and performed by actor and comedian Bill Burr (Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian, Old Dads) brings together Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire) and Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo). Bill Burr is also part of the cast of the film.
The three actors play three middle-aged fathers feeling out of step with generation Y CEOs and intractable kindergarten directors. Dads will rebel and stick together.
