Elite is back for a caliente sixth season on Netflix. But it’s not to the liking of all subscribers, who have clearly expressed their fed up with the Spanish series.
Back for a sixth season on Netflix, Elite does not have as many followers as it did when it started.
The Spanish series lost several of its main actors along the way and the end of season 5 marked the departure of the last original comedians, namely Itzan Escamilla (Samuel) and Omar Ayuso (Omar). But also those who have joined the series in the meantime and who have established themselves such as Claudia Salas (Rebe), Georgina Amoros (Cayetana) and Pol Granch (Philippe).
Fans had already testified to their love-hate relationship for the very hot teen series which contains a lot of sex scenes, but with the arrival of season 6 on Netflix, they let it be known that they are fed up.
Elite fans are fed up
However, this new burst of episodes contains less sensual sequences and tackles deeper subjects like homophobia (in the school environment and the sporting environment) and the trauma resulting from a rape, and also sees the arrival of a transgender character.
But that’s not enough to satisfy fans who have clearly expressed their frustration on social media. For a large part of them, Elite must stop. However, the series is still a hit, since it is the first of the top viewings on Netflix, and has already been renewed for a seventh season.
