Netflix trailer: Jamie Foxx and John Boyega reunited in the summer blockbuster


Expected for July 21 on Netflix, the film “They cloned Tyrone” brings together Jamie Foxx, John Boyega and Teyonah Parris in an original, supercharged thriller. Check out the trailer.

A season conducive to big-budget films carried by first-class stars, summer is fast approaching and Netflix unveils the final trailer for one of its event films, They Cloned Tyrone by Juel Taylor – screenwriter, among others, from Creed II and Space Jam 2.

In this thriller that brings together John Boyega, star of the latest Star Wars trilogy, Jamie Foxx and Teyonah Parris, revealed by the Wandavision series, science fiction is mixed with gangster film.

The plot follows a drug dealer, a prostitute and her pimp discover a government plot: black men would be cloned in the undergrounds of a small town. The trailer promises an ambitious, funny film with a retro aesthetic inspired by blaxploitation – a trend of films released during the seventies featuring African-American heroes.

This project marks the first appearance of Jamie Foxx in a project since his stroke last April. The actor was shooting another film for Netflix at the time of the facts, Back in Action, in which he gives the reply to Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

They cloned Tyrone, available on Netflix on July 21.
