Music by children for children: Kidz Bop Germany celebrated the release of the new album for 2024 last Sunday in Berlin’s Spreehalle. You can once again hear current and world-famous hits, which have been reissued by young singing talents. This time, among others, “Cruel Summer” by pop star Taylor Swift (34) and “Dance the Night” by Dua Lipa (28) were given a child and family-friendly touch. Celebrity mothers such as Alessandra Meyer-Wölden (40), Charlotte Würdig (45) and Magdalena Brzeska (45) also came to the release of the children’s music brand’s new record.

“I have five big fans at home,” enthuses Meyer-Wölden on site. Thanks to the child-friendly versions, she no longer has to come up with anything “if swear words appear in the songs.” Especially in America – Meyer-Wölden has been living in Miami with her five children for several years – Kidz Bop is a “huge hype”: “All the celebrities are talking about it and I can understand that, because especially as a parent it makes sense to do something like that support,” says the 40-year-old in Berlin.

Daily exchange with ex-husband Oliver Pocher

Meyer-Wölden has three of her five offspring with her ex-husband Oliver Pocher (45). When it comes to upbringing, the two mostly “have the same opinion” – including when it comes to social media. Since the ex-spouses are in the public eye, it is “not so easy to find the balancing act between keeping children completely out of it” and still being present on social media.

“Of course the children get older and eventually have their own opinions. Our daughter will be 14 very soon and of course she asks when she can have her own Instagram account and get started,” Meyer-Wölden continues. She and Pocher agreed on the 16th birthday. In any case, the model and the comedian would discuss a lot with each other: “Of course Olli and I have our daily talks, so we talk on the phone every day and exchange ideas.”

Charlotte Würdig: She gets along “really well” with Sido’s new friend

Moderator Charlotte Würdig also thinks the concept of “children making music for children” is “cool”. With her two sons, whom she has with rapper Sido (43), she used to listen to the songs mainly in the car, “up and down, down and up, all the time.”

In addition to international artists like Taylor Swift and Dua Lipa, the new record also features German hits like “Komet” by Udo Lindenberg (77) and Apache 207 (26) as well as “Zukunft Pink” by Peter Fox (52). Adults also get their money’s worth, as Würdig thinks: “The cool thing is, you can sing along as an adult and it’s not quite so childlike.”

At the end of 2022, Würdig and Sido, whose real name is Paul Würdig, divorced; the two now have a friendly relationship. Charlotte Würdig even gets along “super well” with the rapper’s new girlfriend, Twitch presenter Georgina “Gia” Stumpf (33): “I mean, obviously we have the same taste and a lot of common topics that we can talk about. […] It’s beautiful, a beautiful puzzle that has come together. And that feels good. It feels really good after this difficult time.”

Magdalena Brzeska thrives in her role as a trainer

As a former professional gymnast, mother of two and children’s gymnastics coach, Magdalena Brzeska benefits from music, as she said at the album release in Berlin. “I have a total of almost 50 children in the gym and we actually use the pieces of music for our warm-up exercises and for our choreographies,” she reveals. “And all the children I teach are so jealous that I was able to be here today.”
