A spin-off series from New Amsterdam should soon see the light of day. Tuesday March 19, 2024, the Deadline site revealed the plot, which should take place in the future and address new issues.
Between 2018 and 2023, the series New Amsterdam was broadcast on NBC in the United States. She followed Doctor Max Goodwin, performed by Ryan Eggold. He became the director of one of the oldest hospitals in the United States, New Amsterdam, At New York. After five seasons, however, fans of the series had discovered its conclusion.

It would not really be a season 6, but rather a derivative series titled New Amsterdam Tomorrow. This would be written by the creator of the original series, David Schulner. Regarding the plot, Deadline reveals that viewers will follow Luna Goodwin Who “assumes her father’s role as medical director of New Amsterdam Hospital“.
The series will therefore take place 30 years in the future and will explore in particular the role of artificial intelligence in the advancement of medicine. Currently, the project is still in development and the cast is not yet known. The actress Molly Griggs could however be made official as the interpreter of Luna Goodwin in the coming months. For the moment, no information has been revealed concerning a possible return of Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman or even Janet Montgomery. Viewers will therefore have to be patient before having more information.
