It is the next case: again a young person (16) with like-minded people hijacked a parked car. Over the course of a week, they drove it around several times before leaving the car badly damaged in another community.
The whole case happened at the beginning of April, and the investigation is now complete: According to this, on April 1, initially unknown perpetrators put a vehicle parked in front of a residential property in a Pongau community into operation. The owner had left the new car unlocked with a mileage of 30, he had kept the key in the center console. So easy prey for the brazen criminals: they probably just took the car and drove around with it. Only on April 8, a week later, did officials find the new car in Elixhausen badly damaged. On this day, the perpetrators in the car were also flashed. They must have traveled more than 400 kilometers by car. A 16-year-old from Salzburg was identified as the suspect, the executive authority informed. But he remained silent during the interrogation. He is now in the prison in Puch, also for other crimes.
