New contract – nails with heads: Borkovic now fixed in a storm

SK Sturm announces the firm commitment of Alexandar Borkovic. The central defender came to Graz on loan from the second team at TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2021, but now he is moving to the Mur and has signed a contract until 2026.

The 23-year-old central defender made 20 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, two games in the Europa League and three in the ÖFB Cup season that won the title. Head of sport Andreas Schicker is satisfied: “Alexandar Borkovic has developed excellently during his time with Sturm and has proven, especially this season, that he can be a valuable pillar of central defense for us. Borko has a strong play structure with his left foot, is a technically excellent footballer and good in tackles. I’m happy that we can keep him in Graz and I’m convinced that we can still achieve a lot together in the future!” Alexandar Borkovic himself is also convinced: “I feel extremely comfortable in Graz and in the team, that’s why I’m happy to stay with SK Sturm beyond the summer. I am convinced that I can further develop myself and my game here and am motivated to confirm the successes of this season in the coming year and to attack fully again. I am very happy about the trust of the club and look forward to our future together.”
