new exemptions for the rental of thermal strainers

The timetable for the ban from 2025 on the rental of housing considered to be thermal sieves will be maintained, even if the government is considering possible exemptions, Minister of Energy Transition Agns Pannier-Runacher indicated on Friday.

Ban or not? While housing classified G in the energy performance diagnosis (DPE) must be prohibited for rental from January 1, 2025, in accordance with the Climate and Resilience law, promulgated on August 24, 2021, the timetable does not yet seem to be perfectly set. As a reminder, this law plans to gradually prohibit owners of energy-intensive housing from renting their properties, to encourage them to undertake renovation work. Concretely, after housing classified G, housing classified F will also be affected in 2028 and E in 2034.

No change in the calendar

But for several days, many professionals have believed that this schedule is not tenable. To the point that the Minister of the Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, first opened the door to a postponement in The Parisian, at the end of September, declaring: I consider that everything that was decided before the rise in (interest) rates deserves to be looked at again in the light of this crisis. What was possible when money was available becomes impossible with rates this high. We have to be very pragmatic and see if we can shift the schedules.

Before backtracking, indicating that there is no question of modifying the calendar as it was determined, it is simply a question of thinking about how we can be simpler and clearer for our compatriots.
