The general conditions of use of the bank card are changing at Crdit Agricole. In an email sent to their customers at the start of the week, the bank specified the changes made to these famous conditions. A virtual card for troubleshooting
You may have already found yourself in a difficult situation following the loss or theft of your bank card, impatiently waiting to receive the news at your home. If in addition, it is your only card, you often find yourself without any means of payment. Crdit Agricole provides a virtual card in troubleshooting which will allow you to make your purchases contactless with your mobile phone or on the internet. If you contact SOS Card or your agency to report a loss, theft or defect of your payment card, we will automatically make this new payment method available on the Mobile Payment application, explains the bank in its email. This virtual card is indeed temporary: it will be deactivated the first time you use your new physical card.
Virtual bank card: how does it work and how much is it?
Contactless payment above 50 euros… But with the code. This is a very surprising new development. Crédit Agricole announces the possibility from May 13 of pay contactless over 50 euros. In reality, this development will allow customers to not have to insert their card into the payment terminal. They will actually be able to affix their card to the payment terminal as a contactless payment… But they will have to enter their confidential code to validate payment.
Another new feature for the Crédit Agricole bank card: the possibility of making a transfer using your card between individuals. Each operation is limit 500 euros per operation (or over several operations accumulated during a rolling period of ten calendar days) and submitted your payment limit.
The transfer between individuals via your bank card can be made from third-party web platforms or mobile applications dedicated to the organization of fund transfer operations by card and only in France. The bank also specifies in its email that it will subsequently inform of the deployment of this service internationally. This service is not accessible for ATM cards and prepaid cards. Please note, if you wish to transfer funds by card to an individual, the latter’s bank card must also be allow to receive fund transfer operations.
