Seventeen years. This is the time that elapsed between the release of Bad Boys 2 and Bad Boys 3 in cinemas. Fans of the franchise were able to find on their screens in January 2020 the duo Mike Lowrey / Marcus Burnett, camped this time again by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Three years later, it is on Netflix that the buddy movie arrives.

In France, the public responded, since Bad Boys For Life attracted 1,726,170 curious children to theaters. It is also a big hit for Sony internationally, where the film brought in 420 million greenbacks for 90 million invested. What open the door to a fourth part.
But it was without counting on the famous slap given by Will Smith to Chris Rock during the Oscars 2022, which reshuffled the cards or, at least, put the project on stand by. A year later, the studios seem ready to move forward on Bad Boys 4. Filming should begin in April in Atlanta, still under the direction of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
