You can now buy the Hymer Venture S. At the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf we take a look at the two-story interior of the off-road camper and reveal the price.

  • Thanks to the pneumatic air roof, this Mercedes Sprinter-based Hymer motorhome has two floors.
  • The extraordinary interior is lined with bamboo and felt.
  • With a price of 225,000 euros, the all-wheel drive belongs to the upper class among the upgraded Sprinters.
  • We take a look inside the vehicle at the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon.

This Hymer innovation breaks with traditional mobile home construction. Many elements that Hymer presented as a sensational study at the Caravan Salon 2019 are now going into series production and are available as the Hymer Venture S. We were able to take a close look at the mobile home at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. One of the absolute camping highlights of the year! This becomes clear at the latest when you look at the following pictures.

View of the interior

The high price of the Hymer Century S of 225,000 euros is put into perspective a little as soon as you take a look inside. It looks more comfortable here than in many a noble Tiny House. The interior design reminds us a little of the iSmove from Niesmann+Bischoff, but there is simply nothing comparable.

The curved real glass windows in the rear alone, where a seating area awaits guests, are an eye-catcher. The two-part tailgate can be opened wide, creating a covered sun terrace on which to enjoy breakfast in the morning.

Also worth seeing and practical at the same time is the permanently installed work station with sockets and desk, which is created when the front passenger seat is rotated. Home office on wheels! A flexible LED gooseneck lamp provides perfect light. The wet room is also flexible.

The “Variobad” can be moved, either showing a shower or freeing up space for a ceramic toilet. Thanks to a fresh water supply of 120 liters, long showers are no problem. The drinking water is filtered and can be drunk directly from the tap.

Solar cells on the roof take over the production of electricity. The electricity is stored in Hymer’s smart battery system. The lithium-ion batteries have a capacity of 320 Ah and are therefore sufficiently self-sufficient. The real highlight on the upper floor is the pneumatic air roof, because tent fabric filled with air is used here.

According to Hymer, this is particularly opaque and temperature-resistant. In addition, another disadvantage of pop-up roofs should be foreign to the Hymer Sprinter, which you have to live with in the Knaus Tourer CUV: it should be as quiet upstairs as downstairs.

The base vehicle is equipped with the MBUX system, active cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and attention assistants. A classic combustion engine is used as the drive. It is certain that the Hymer Venture S will soon also be available as an e-mobile home. Hymer also gave the all-wheel drive Sprinter underbody protection, LED auxiliary headlights and sturdy 18-inch tires with a lug tread. However, a suspension lift is only available at an additional cost. Then there is also a beamer with an automatic screen. We present other camping highlights of the year in the linked overview article.
