New record – bronze! Ragginger triumphed at the World Wrestling Championships

Wrestler ace Markus Ragginger won the bronze medal at the U23 World Cup in Belgrade (Ser) in the Greco-Roman style (up to 97 kg). He fought the Czech Ondrej Bank 5-0 down on points, setting a new Western European record.

“It was absolutely crazy how Markus won the medal,” said coach Amer Hrustanovic. With his eighth precious metal at major events, the HSZ soldier from the Rif performance center also set a Western European record. He is also the first wrestler to win a medal in the cadet, junior and U-23 age groups at both world and European championships.
