Tech giant Sony is planning to move its CD and gaming production from the USA to Salzburg.
In the middle of the year, the tech giant Sony DADC plans to close the doors of its plant in Terre Haute, Indiana. At least for CD and gaming production. This is to be relocated to Thalgau from now on. As a result, 100 employees will lose their jobs in the USA. An additional 150 employees will be retained and the site converted to an assembly and distribution facility. A statement from the company said the decision was due to “the continued digital shift in the home entertainment market.”
