New trailer confirms Anakin Skywalker’s return to the series

We’re getting ever closer to the arrival of the highly anticipated new Star Wars Disney+ series, Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson as the ancient Jedi. She will be joined by one of the cult characters of the saga.

Disney+ has released one of the most anticipated trailers for its live-action series Ahsoka, a trailer that hints at a potential reunion between Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, and her former Jedi master. Indeed, Ahsoka’s new 45-second teaser titled “Force” features a voiceover featuring new dialogue from Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.

Star Wars will revisit the Clone Wars timeline in live action for the first time since Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. We know that Hayden Christensen’s Anakin has so far never been able to interact with Ahsoka TanoAnakin’s Padawan having been created for the movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars in 2008. It will then be a first, which had already been announced by a retailer of derivative products a few weeks ago.

Anakin will train Ahsoka in the series

Anakin references enemy droids, an ongoing war, and his role as master of Ahsoka, which suggests that the dialogue heard in the teaser is from a scene set during the Clone Wars. While it’s possible this scene was just a flashback, like Christensen’s last appearance as Anakin in Obi-Wan Kenobi, perhaps Anakin’s return could last longer.

Anakin was the Jedi responsible for training Ahsoka during the Clone Wars, so we’ll once again be treated to a complex relationship between a master and his padawan. We’re also treated to plenty of action in the new series, and a clash between Ahsoka and another former Jedi (who took a much darker path), Baylan Skoll.

As a reminder, you will only have to wait a few more days before discovering the new Star Wars series, since the first two episodes of Ahsoka will be broadcast from August 23 on Disney+. Before that, we let you discover the trailer below in its entirety.
