Erwan, a young man aged 18 years old disappeared on the night of Saturday February 10 to Sunday February 11, Moncoutant-sur-Sèvre, in Deux-Sèvres. He was last seen after spending the night in La Morinière, a nightclub local. Then, around 1:30 a.m., a security guard took the young man out of the nightclub, due to his drunken state. Erwan’s family filed a complaint against the establishment.
“There are perhaps things that could have been done or not been done, when we know the geographical location of the establishment and we put a young person out and he is supposedly drunk. For us, it there was endangerment”, explained Erwan’s mother-in-law to BFMTV.

10 days after his disappearance, the investigation is floundering. “We are helpless, helpless, we have no leads, we have no element that can allow us to give ourselves an orientation or to favor one path rather than another”, explained Erwan’s mother-in-law. For the family of the missing young man, the idea of running away does not seem reasonable.

“The circumstances of his disappearance have not been clarified despite the significant resources involved”, indicated Julien Wattebled, the public prosecutor of Niort. Faced with this first failure, the prosecution then oopened a judicial investigation for worrying disappearance. “The investigations are now led by the investigating judge of Niort”, specifies the prosecutor.
As a reminder, judicial information is defined as an investigation carried out by an investigating judge “in order to prove the existence of an offense and to determine the perpetrators”. A new direction in the investigation is not reassuring for Erwan’s family. “The search continues, otherwise. We are helpless and we no longer know what to do, where to look…”, indicated his family on the Facebook page Find Erwan.
