  • With the new voice command you can silence the Google Assistant.
  • You can just say “stop”.
  • A “Hey, Google” is not necessary.

The digital assistant Google Assistant is a useful help in everyday life. But especially with questions, the answer can sometimes be quite long. For this reason, the US company Google is giving the digital helper a new voice command.

As the manufacturer posts on Twitter, you can now simply say “stop” to silence the assistant even in the middle of a sentence. A “Hey, Google” or “Ok, Google” is not necessary.

In order to use the new voice command, you need to update your smart speakers, the Google Home app or the Google Assistant for mobile application to the latest version.
