New World Maintenance 1.3.1 Patch Notes

Update

Through
Camille “Effylia” Bouin

During the night, the developers communicated about the various fixes they were able to bring to New World. First of all, mutations should have good rotation, Void Gauntlet, Ice Gauntlet and Rapier have some mods and many more.

Earlier this week, the first expedition mutation on New World was supposed to be rotated, but many servers weren’t lucky enough to have this change. Some weren’t unhappy, as they saw a second chance to attempt Mutation 10, while others already wanted to get the rest of the new content. After a somewhat late weekly maintenance this week, the developers have finally communicated on this one, but also on a small set of fixes made during this maintenance. Without further ado, here is New World February 3 maintenance patch notes 1.3.1.

General bugs

. Fixed that quickly dropping and picking up an item could cause it to disappear from the bag and inventory.
. Fixed that collision geometry could disappear at region borders.
. To avoid exploitation of limited-time Juniper Berry Bags, and to add a progression item and potential extra coins for late-game players, we’ve changed the coin rewards as follows:

  • Levels 1-9: 1-5 coins
  • Levels 10-19: 5-15 coins
  • Levels 20-29: 10-30 coins
  • Levels 30-39: 20-50 coins
  • Levels 40-49: 30-75 coins
  • Levels 50-59: 40-150 coins
  • Level 60: 50-200 coins

. Housing system data storage has been revamped. The idea is to avoid problems of loss of lodges or objects.
. Fixed players being unable to fast transfer home or respawn home if they reconnect after exiting the game from the desktop.
. Known Issue: Scheduled Weekly Mutation Rotation may fail. We have added some code to try to find the source of the problem.
. Speculative correction:

  • Fixed a bug that caused players to select the wrong object on the UI shortly after scrolling through it. From now on, the selected object is the one on which the cursor stopped at the moment of the click. We believe this was causing accidental recycling of the wrong items.

Combat changes

. Nether Gauntlets

  • Fixed Restorative Evasion resetting the player’s lowest active cooldown.

. Rapier

  • Fixed that sheathing the Rapier after casting Dodge resulted in a permanent buff to the player’s movement speed.

. Ice Gauntlets

  • Fixed Punishing Storm with Ice Gauntlets increasing all player damage, not just Ice Storm damage.

Please note that the maintenance will start at 8 a.m. sharp and will last approximately 2 hours. The servers will be back to normal for 10 a.m. this Thursday, February 3.
