After two films dedicated to Sonic, it’s Knuckles’ turn to shine with his own mini-series. The production has just revealed an exciting first trailer for this series, which is scheduled for release next April.
Knuckles, star of the Sonic Cinematic Universe
The Sonic cinematic universe is about to make its return. After two successful films, Sega reiterates and continues the development of this universe by offering viewers Knuckles, a mini-series centered on the eponymous character. Sonic is still there, but it is the story of his friend that interests us here.
Announced for the first time in February 2022, this mini-series composed of six episodes should form the link between the second and third Sonic The Hedgehog films, which are scheduled for release at the end of the year. Idris Elba reprises the role of Knuckles. The same goes for Ben Schwartz and Colleen O’Shaughnessey who play Sonic and Tails respectively and who return here as guest stars.

In this series, Knuckles is the star of the show and will have to face a new villain who is looking to get his hands on his powers. The red echidna will also be ready to train a clumsy deputy sheriff and thus transform him into a real warrior. The first trailer – available in the player at the top of the article – presents all the ingredients that made the success of the two previous Sonic films. We thus find a good dose of humor, action and convincing special effects for a rendering mixing real shots and computer-generated images. Finally, the good news is that the series is arriving very quickly and will be immediately available in France when it is released on Paramount+ on April 27.
