In Elden Ring, you will face bosses that you will have to beat if you want to progress in the main story of the game. However, there are also dozens of secondary bosses with interesting loot, and Darriwil is clearly one of them .

Summary of all our guides on Elden Ring

Summary

  • Start Blaidd’s quest before the fight
  • Location of Darriwil Jail
  • Combat and Fang of the Bloodhound

Start Blaidd’s quest before the fight

The first step of this Elden Ring guide is optional. So it’s not a big deal if you decide to skip it or if you realize too late that you have already started the fight against Darriwil in your game, it’s just advice.

Indeed, even if he is a secondary boss, he still has a small impact in one of the game’s secondary quests, that of Blaidd the wolfman. Moreover, you will hardly need to advance his quest to understand Darriwil’s role in all this.

You will simply have to go to the location indicated to you below; then return to the merchant at the start of the game in the church who will give you an emote allowing you to meet Blaidd. To continue this quest further, we leave you with our guide.

Location of Darriwil Jail

Once you have spoken to Blaidd, he will reveal to you that he has been stalking a certain Darriwil for some time and that’s pretty good, because as we have just seen, we are also interested in this optional Elden Ring boss.

To meet him, you will have to head south from where you met Blaidd. You will then arrive at the location that we have indicated to you on the map below with species of blue stone worms.

A recess in the ground will then allow you to access the jail where Darriwil is located and therefore start the fight. Be careful though before venturing there, know that it will be impossible for you to summon a spirit during this fight!

Combat and Fang of the Bloodhound

The fight itself will be quite complicated: Darriwil is extremely mobile and aggressive and as long as you don’t have the patterns in mind, he risks hurting you a lot. Also bring anti-bleeding objects because when the latter happens, it hurts a lot.

The good news is that Darriwil ultimately has quite little HP and when you start to understand his patterns and attacks, you won’t have any trouble getting rid of him and get your hands on the rewards that await you after this fight.

The main one is the Bloodhound Fang, which will be an extremely interesting weapon thanks to its skill, the Bloodhound Knight Step, which if used well will allow you to dodge a lot of hits during your future fights. Once Darriwil is defeated, you can return to Blaidd to tell him the news.
