In Enshrouded, NPCs will be there to support you throughout your adventures and by finding their tools, you will unlock new possibilities. In this article, we explain not only how to recover the alchemist, but also where to find the latter’s mortar.
Before setting off in search of the alchemist’s mortar on Enshrouded, you must have found it and if you have not yet done so, we will tell you the procedure to follow in this first part. Start by following the game’s main quest.
This asks you to collect and place an altar of flame. Then, you will start looking for the first NPC in the game, the blacksmith. Once you find it, you will be able to get your hands on a second NPC, the huntress.
Be careful to access the location where it is located, you will have to have crafted a grappling hook beforehand. Once that’s done, you can unlock the third NPC which is precisely the one that interests us here, the alchemist!
To unlock it, you will have to venture into a small crypt and eliminate the enemies present there. Once this is done, you will be able to recruit Balthazar! To help you, we have provided below the location of the cave where you can find it.
Where to find the alchemist’s mortar?
Now that you have got your hands on Balthazar, you will be able to take advantage of his expertise so that he can concoct potions for you, but you will have to follow your quests to find your equipment and in particular the one that interests us here, its mortar!
That’s good, he’ll quickly ask you to find his alchemist’s mortar. To do this, you will have to go to the alchemist’s tower. To help you find it, we have indicated it to you on the map below.
It is located in the northwest part of the map, near the mist zone. There, you will find a fairly huge laboratory. The first thing to do will be to break down the barricades that block your access to it to be able to enter it.
Then go to the highest room you will find there. Break the furniture items there and you should discover a button. Press it, which opens the cellar of the place and you will suspect, it is in the latter that the alchemist’s mortar is found.
