On Fallout 4, in addition to the main quest, you will have a whole series of secondary quests which will considerably extend the lifespan of the game. It is precisely one of the latter which will interest us here, the one called “Coup pump”.

Summary of all our guides on Fallout 4

We told you, Pump Shot is a side quest in Fallout 4. To trigger it, you will have to go to the far northwest of the map. To be precise, this is the level of Thicket’s career that you will have to go to launch it.

If you don’t know where this location is, don’t panic, we’ve shown it for you on the map below. Once you are there, you will have to chat with the NPC there, Sullywho will explain to you that the quarry is flooded.

Obviously, as you can imagine, it is up to you to resolve the problem. But before you embark on this quest, make sure you have Rad-X on you. Indeed, you will have to protect yourself from the radiation in the area.

Because yes, you see this water filled with radiation, well, you are going to have to take a little dip in it to resolve a piping problem and dry out the flooded quarry. Once you have made sure you have Rad-X, dive in head first.

Once you are in the water, you will have to activate 3 valves. These are located deep down and you will therefore have to dive to reach and activate them. Fortunately, you’re not going to have to fumble around the entire area.

Swim to the surface and spot the bubbles. When you see it, dive there and simply activate the valve. Then repeat the operation on the next two and you will have finished your little bath in the irradiated waters of the area.

Join the surface and more precisely the generator. Once you’re next to it, turn it on so it pumps water from the quarry. Be careful at this time, two Fangeux will appear and you will have to kill them. Once that’s done, simply talk to Sully to complete the quest.

Except that the latter is not really finished! We are not going to spoil the rest of the events for you, but we advise you to Return to Thicket Quarry once you reach level 12. If this is already the case for you, simply wait 24 hours before returning.
