Where to find the Stage Village cenotaph in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The haunted cenotaph that the traveling merchant in the Village stopover in Dragon’s Dogma II tells you about is at the end of the path (heading east before the bridge) which leads to the Vermund border post. A beaten path will guide you to this place of contemplation.

What to expect when visiting this place?

The Haunted Cenotaph is not a place that really deserves your attention in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Although the merchant tells you about it, it mainly serves as a clue (or a trap, it’s up to you) to come face to face with a Lost Soul, at least if you visit the place in the middle of the night.

These opponents are perfect for collecting resources and equipment for your Mage or Wizard.

Otherwise, the cenotaph brings nothing else, apart from a chest which holds a shard of awakening stone. On the other hand, on the path which leads to the cenotaph, you can find many chests which you must of course collect, because they reserve a ceremonial cape and some useful resources for crafting.

Hidden in the darkness and capable of cascading powerful spells from the heavens, these monsters are spirits descended from deceased priests. Head-on confrontations against lost souls are particularly risky due to the amount of magic they can deploy.

Although Lost Souls are gifted with magic, they are not immune to it.. Therefore, we advise you to use magic attacks, especially fire attacks. Do not always stay at their “feet”, as they will be capable of generating heavy area attacks. So, hit them as much as you can and when you notice markings on the ground that don’t come from one of your pawns, run away!

Lost Souls can drop the following resources:

  • Black crystal
  • Mage or Sorcerer Equipment Parts
  • Potions
  • Enhancement Grimoires

Apart from these elements, the cenotaph is not very useful, but nevertheless constitutes an easy marker for finding Lost Souls!
