Although most players will certainly be proud to represent the colors of their favorite house in Hogwarts Legacy, playing a wizard belonging to Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin does not actually change much in the game. Indeed, depending on the house chosen, you will mainly have access to a different common room and the students you will meet first will be different. Your equipment will also wear the colors of your house when possible, but apart from all that, know that your adventure will not really be different whichever house you choose. However, there is a main quest which will be different depending on your house. For students of Gryffindorthis is the famous quest The Hunt for Missing Pages.
To access this quest, you will therefore necessarily have to play a student of the house Gryffindor. If you are playing a Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin, it will be replaced by Prisoner of Love, Ollivander’s Legacy or Scrope’s Last Hope respectively. This exclusive quest is part of your main adventure and should take place after doing your first Merlin Trial and before moving on to the quest The Rest of Richard Jackdaw.
If you play a student of Gryffindoryou will therefore necessarily go through the quest The Hunt for Missing Pages relatively early in the game. You will then have to help Nearly Headless Nick to get noticed by the Headless Hunters club. For this, you will go in particular to the kitchens of Hogwarts then to a pumpkin patch near the cemetery of Hogsmeade. It is in this area that you will need to find and destroy some very special pumpkins in order to find the ghost’s head.
To do this, start by using Revelio in front of every pumpkin in the area. There is no point in destroying all the poor pumpkins you come across, only those that are highlighted when you launch Revelio count for the quest. If no pumpkins seem to react to the spell, you may be experiencing a fairly widespread bug. Don’t hesitate to reload your save, this should fix the problem. Unfortunately, the ghost changes position each game, so we cannot give you the precise location of the pumpkins to explode.
