In Skull and Bones there are many treasure maps : some are given by merchants during side quests, others are loaned to you through the main quest and others can be collected by looting ships.

Here, for recent treasure maps, you can obtain them by plundering the merchant ships you come across at sea. To find out if a ship has a treasure map, simply use your spyglass when you see ships on the horizon. By analyzing them from a distance, you will be able to visualize all the resources they carry and thus decide whether to attack them or not.

This tip is particularly useful for finding specific resources for building your boats or weapons, but is especially practical for getting your hands on treasure maps!

Where to find treasures from recent maps?

During our adventures, we were able to get our hands on 5 recent treasure maps. It is possible that there are others: so we will update this article with our future discoveries!

First recent treasure map

This treasure map asks you to go to the outpost sacred treelocated in the river Colline de Rova.

Once you have landed on the beach of the camp, head southeast, towards the warrior Fara, then go to the large torch. The treasure is right next to the small stone with a cross marked on it.

Second recent treasure map

“I boarded the ship of the Ungwana Confederation with my feet and weight tied, but I left with their treasure. They were tracking the merchants and targeted us. I fled to Sultani Island, northwest of Mother of Wrecks. Life was simpler before all this, I miss those good old days.”

This treasure map asks you to go to the outpost Kaa mangrove at Sultani Island.

Once you have landed on the beach of the camp, go towards the Kitchen and the Renegade Trader located southwest of the merchant. Behind the kitchen, to the southeast, you will find the remains of a person: the treasure is buried underneath.

Third recent treasure map

“John Scurlock had a nice safe, so I stole it. A mutiny devastated Jiwe, south of Pillar Tomb. I wish I didn’t think about it anymore. But regret follows me everywhere.”

This treasure map asks you to go to the outpost The Navigator’s Cross in Jiwe.

Once you have landed on the camp beach, climb the stairs in front of you, then take the path to the right. The treasure will be just before the bell tower.

Fourth recent treasure map

“I fought courageously for The People of the Sea and the reward was great. These takes are for you. The best choice for me was to go to Reef Sea, southeast of Kaa Mangrove. I think I have found my purpose.”

This treasure map asks you to go to the outpost Sea of ​​Wrecks at Reef Sea.

The treasure is located north of the merchant who is on the beach at the camp. You will easily notice the targe on which a cross is marked.

Fifth recent treasure map

“?? Wait, don’t leave me?? I screamed as we sank. But no one heard me. I had to save myself. They were tracking the merchants and targeted us. I headed towards Harufu, southwest of Dragon’s Back. Freedom is calling me?! I simply must escape The Sultanate of Sohar.”

This treasure map asks you to go to the outpost Poachers’ Cache to Harufu.

To find the treasure, all you have to do is reach the upper part of the camp, towards the Kitchen and the water barrels. The chest is hidden next to the red tent near the water.

Treasure maps allow you to obtain primary resources, a lot of money, cooking ingredients and occasionally weaponry for your ships. To give you a few examples, we were able to get our hands on vanilla, bronze, cobalt or nickel ingots, hull protection or even snuff and many other things.

Clearly, treasure maps are perfect for filling your pockets and stocking up on useful resources for crafting weapons or developing recipes.
