In Zelda TotK, you will obviously have the main quest which will occupy you for a little while, but it is not the only activity far from it. Indeed, there are many additional activities, which will lead you to certain elements of lore, such as memory 1 which we are going to talk about here!
What is Tears of the Kingdom memorabilia?
Memories are simply pieces of Tears of the Kingdom lore. They were already present in the previous opus of the license, but they are indeed back in this new opus. The idea will be that they will trigger at certain times.
One of the best-known ways to recover these memories is simply to embark on the quest for the 12 dragon tears. Each time you find one, you will unlock a souvenir. To help you find them all, we direct you to this guide.

Free the Deku Tree to unlock Memory 1
But if you’ve made it this far, it’s the memory that mainly interests you, it’s number 1, “The Secret of the Legendary Sword” and as you can see on the list above if you want to acquire it, you will have to save the Deku Tree.
To do this, go to the abyss via the point we have indicated to you below. Once in the depths, go to the point indicated to you on the second map, which is located at the Korogu forest and use one of the pillars for Infiltration.
Once you are on the surface, head towards the Deku Tree which is infected with miasma that you will have to burn using flower bombs. Once that’s done and the miasma hands have been removed, a ghost of Ganon will appear.
Get rid of it, collect the loot and then head to Musano Qila Shrine. This is where you will find the Deku Tree. All you have to do then is climb on its roots and start the dialogue. Once it’s done, you’ll have souvenir 1!
