Nexity launches into solar energy

Nexity, the leading French real estate developer, which is banking on the diversification of its activities to alleviate the new construction crisis, announced on Tuesday the creation of a new entity specializing in the deployment of solar panels.

Called Nexity Solaire, this entity will draw on the group’s experience in sustainable development and its low-carbon expertise, the company promises in a press release.

The installations deployed by Nexity Solaire could take the form of photovoltaic farms, panels on the roof or on shade to produce green energy, thus generating additional income or enabling self-consumption, says the group.

This new offer is aimed at communities wishing to identify areas favorable to the deployment of renewable energies as well as private and public owners wishing to enhance their non-buildable land, their roof areas and their parking lots.

Nexity, like all real estate players, is suffering from the halt in new construction, caught between costs which have risen sharply and purchasing power of buyers eroded by inflation and especially access. scarce in credits.

The group, which is increasing its forays outside of real estate development, its historic core business, has announced in recent months that it is launching into life insurance or the revaluation of commercial sites in partnership with Carrefour, in addition to developing managed residences (seniors or students).
