On this extraordinary evening, Nez Rouge booked 31 percent of the total number of trips in this year’s prevention campaign, which began at the beginning of December. The driving service announced on Saturday.
After there was no home drive service due to the corona pandemic in 2020, a drive service was organized in six of the 22 Nez Rouge sections in 2021. This was possible in the Zurich, Wallis, Friborg, Lausanne, Est Vaudois and North Vaudois sections.
Overall, according to Nez Rouge, there were enough volunteers to accompany drivers with reduced driving ability home. With the stronger demand on New Year’s Eve, however, the waiting times would have been longer.
