(Boursier.com) — Atlante, a Group company NHOA (formerly Engie EPS) dedicated to fast and ultra-fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and IP, the main private player in the distribution of fuel and mobility services with 4,600 service stations in Italy, will work together to facilitate the spread of electric mobility. The agreement was signed today by Alberto Chiarini, Managing Director of IP, and Stefano Terranova, Managing Director of Atlante, at IP’s headquarters in Rome, in the presence of Ugo Brachetti Peretti, President of IP, and Carlalberto Guglielminotti, CEO of the NHOA Group. The collaboration foresees the installation of 34 fast and ultra-fast charging points in 5 service stations in northern and central Italy on main roads with high traffic density, with the aim of offering Italian travelers a faster and faster electric charging, which also allows extra-urban travel.

The first 26 on-the-go electric charging points will be operational by December 2022 and will be equipped with awnings with photovoltaic panels, thus allowing the use of renewable energy in micro-grid mode to facilitate the transition to truly electric mobility. sustainable. It is also planned, by March 2023, to add 8 additional fast charging points in one of the service stations and to integrate an energy storage system, which will optimize energy consumption. and will contribute to the efficiency of the electrical system, in a micro-grid configuration, i.e. through the exchange of energy between the vehicle, the charging device, the solar panels and the storage system. The agreement comes at an important time for Italy’s electricity infrastructure: the public consultation by the Ministry for Ecological Transition has been underway for several weeks on the measurement of the National Recovery Plan. and Resilience (PNRR) to encourage the construction of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in service stations.

The 34 charging points will be open 24/7 to all electric vehicles and will be compatible with any charging standard and electric mobility service provider, adds NHOA.
