The D23: The Official Disney Fan Club was an opportunity to discover a lot of great things, including the first trailer for Secret Invasion.
This weekend was the D23, namely the famous biannual convention where Disney unveils many announcements from Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. And this year it was in particular the occasion to finally know a little more about Secret Invasion which still remains very mysterious.
Secret Invasion: a reunion film?
As you can see in the very first trailer above, we finally find the character of Nick Fury who is played by Samuel L. Jackson who has not been seen in the MCU since the last Spider-man movie. The very bad-ass ex-Director of SHIELD is back to fight an invasion of Skrulls on Earth, who are on Earth with impunity on many levels of the state. The big question is which superhero will be there? In the Comics of the same name, we find the New Avengers, the Mighty Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and even… the X-Men. But in the trailer no trace of a big name from a member of any of these teams.
Also in the Comics it is also an opportunity to see the Illuminati that we could see briefly in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. From this side, there is still little chance of seeing the group since in the MCU they are present in an alternate version of our Earth.
Secret Invasion should land on Disney+ in 2023.
