Nicolas Sarkozy booed at the meeting of Valérie Pécresse: the discreet threat of Carla Bruni to the candidate

While Nicolas Sarkozy was booed at Valérie Pécresse’s meeting, Carla Bruni reacted subtly. The former First Lady spoke … in song!

An answer… in music. This Sunday, April 3, Valérie Pécresse organized her last election campaign meeting, Porte de Versailles. Shortly before the speech of the candidate of Les Républicains at the Elysée, Yann Wehrling quoted several political figures, including Nicolas Sarkozy. In the room, whistles and boos were heard at the mention of the former President of the Republic who has not (yet?) officially announced his support for Valérie Pécresse. “All the speakers who took the floor in the meeting spoke of Nicolas Sarkozy with great respect and made him applaudreacted the candidate for the Elysée Palace on the airwaves of RTL. If there were at the beginning of the meeting, some sad voters, it is the reality. We, with infinite respect, applauded Nicolas Sarkozy for the role he had for France.”

As for Carla Bruni, she reacted … in music. On her Instagram account this Monday, April 4, the former First Lady posted a video of her performing its title, Le petit chépard, whose lyrics could evoke… Nicolas Sarkozy, as she has several times hinted. “Watch out for the cheetah”only captioned Carla Bruni, who therefore may have sent a subtle threat to Valérie Pécresse. If he did not react publicly, Nicolas Sarkozy would have been touched by the whistles heard at the meeting of Valérie Pécresse. “I have had Nicolas Sarkozy three times on the phone since, says the parliamentarian. He is not angry but rather in cold angerassured one of his relatives to RMC. (…) Nicolas Sarkozy will not support it, he has never been thrilled.”

Nicolas Sarkozy would find Valérie Pécresse “non-existent”

With his relatives, moreover, the former President of the Republic would not mince his words about Valérie Pécresse. “She doesn’t listen to anything”, would he get annoyed in private, as reported by the Journal du dimanche. From there not to support her in the race for the Elysée? “He cannot betray his political family – and he never has, analyzed a government adviser. His lack of support for Pécresse is a strong enough sign.” In this presidential campaign, he would judge her “non-existent”. “Valerie goes in all directions. Already, if in a campaign, you manage to print one or two ideas, it’s a miracle! (…) But there, who is talking about Valérie Pécresse?, he wondered in particular, according to Le Figaro. We can’t say that she sells dreams, she doesn’t have a lot of creativity. The hardest part of a campaign is getting the second stage of the rocket off the ground. For the moment, it is not in orbit.”
