Warning, deprogramming. This Wednesday, April 20, viewers will not find the Top Chef candidates in prime time. Because of the debate between the two rounds between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen, M6 has chosen to deprogram its culinary competition. In place ? The channel is rebroadcasting an episode of Cauchemar en cuisine. In January 2020, Philippe Etchebest had set sail for the Bouches-du-Rhônes to support twins Mylène and Mélanie, employed by their sister Séverine at the head of this restaurant. And if the adventure has sometimes been complicated, their sisters have managed to save their restaurant since more than two years after the passage of the chef, it still exists in the city of Sénas. “Since my visit, the restaurant has almost doubled its turnover”assured Philippe Etchebest in Nightmare in the kitchen.

“Mylène and Mélanie have found their rhythm and change the menu regularly. Séverine sticks only to accounting. They are more fulfilled and more serene about the future of the restaurant”, continued the leader. To save their business, which obviously suffered from the health crisis, the sisters have redesigned the menu. Today La Durancette mainly offers homemade pizzas that seem to delight the taste buds of customers. “Anxious to offer you quality, refined and gourmet dishes, we work from fresh, local and seasonal products. Some dishes may therefore not be on the menu on certain days and others may be added depending on the arrivals of the moment and the desires of the chefs, we read on the site. Come and treat yourself and discover all the subtleties of our southern cuisine prepared with love!”

Nightmare in the kitchen: two episodes this Wednesday

If Mélanie takes care of the pizzas, the others do more traditional cooking. “Settled in Sénas since July 2012, our traditional restaurant is today an essential place in the city”, congratulate the participants in Cauchemar en cuisine. And to add, about their cuisine: “Inspired by the terroir of the South, our home cooking is made with the heart and from rigorously selected seasonal products. Let yourself be tempted by our cuisines of fresh products and our daily menus on the slate!” Viewers will therefore be able to rediscover their adventure from 9:05 p.m. this Wednesday, April 20. Note that another program of Cauchemar en cuisine, in a restaurant in Tarbes, will be broadcast in the second part of the evening.
