Nikos in real life: the first images of the TMC documentary event

Star Academy, 50′ Inside, The Voice, NRJ Music Awards, The Secret Song… Over the past twenty years, Nikos Aliagas hosted many flagship programs of TF1! In order to pay tribute to the one who has become an essential face on the small screen, TMC will broadcast the documentary Nikos in real life, in the shadow of the lights, on Wednesday February 9, 2022. The opportunity for the host to confide in his story, including the arrival of his Greek immigrant parents in France, his childhood, his television career, his successes, his doubts, but also his passion for photography. Friend of the stars, Nikos Aliagas will see Jenifer, Patrick Fiori, Zazie, Florent Pagny, Jean Paul Gaultier, Arthur, Christine Bravo, Jean-Paul Rouve, Thomas Sotto, Stéphane Bern, Soprano, Mika, but also Marc Lavoine tell ‘their Nikos. ‘

In an interview given to TV Magazine, Nikos Aliagas agreed to discuss this documentary. “I wondered how it would interest people, who already see me enough on TV. And then, I said to myself, maybe it was a good idea to take stock and celebrate my 20th birthday on TF1 where I arrived by chance for Star Academy (…) This film shows above all my journey, all the way, more than my little person“, he revealed. Assuring that his father was not reassured by this profession, the host confided: “It’s not in the movie, but there was a time, when I was about 35 years old, when they were recording a program in Greece about me, ‘the country boy’, and I saw them arriving – surprise! – my father. Without looking me in the eye, out of modesty, he said to the presenter: ‘I came to tell him that I loved him because he thinks that I don’t love him.’ I held myself back from crying.“

Nikos Aliagas: “I don’t see myself in ten or fifteen years”

In all transparency, the host explained that he was not planning for the long term. He confided in fact:Once you understand how it all works in this business, the only question you have to ask yourself is: ‘What if it were to stop now, do I assume what I have did the night before?’ That’s all. And I don’t project myself in ten or fifteen years, I tell myself that in any case, there will be nothing left, maybe just an archive image. All those I admired in the 70s, stars like Jacques Martin or Thierry Le Luron, no one talks about them anymore! And it will be the same one day for me and for all the animators of my generation. Everything goes…“
