Three individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto in Nîmes (Gard) while they were robbing a luxury house and preparing to steal a Ferrari.
A crew from the BAC (anti-crime brigade) had noted the license plates of a Mini-Cooper which was speeding along the avenue du Général Leclerc in Nîmes. An investigation that referred them to three Nîmes burglars.
The police went to the home of the owners of the vehicle and discovered on the scene a house being emptied but also keys on a Ferrari ready to start behind a gate.
Conscious that they had the opportunity to stop the individuals, the police took refuge in front of the house while waiting for the arrival of the three men in another vehicle. Including two adults and one minor.
One man arrested, the other two the next day
One of the individuals was arrested the evening of the burglary while the other two managed to flee before being arrested the next day in the Gard prefecture.
The three men have been remanded in preparation for their next appearance before the criminal court.
Several jewels, hi-fi were found by the investigators. However, the total amount of the damage is not yet known.
