Nintendo advises against using the Switch in the heat wave

This is the kind of communication that we are not really used to seeing. Unless you live in a cool place, it will not have escaped your notice that France is subject to very high temperatures this week, as is the whole of Europe. A particularly inauspicious time to turn on your consoles and play, for example, the recent Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, since the latter add heat to the room. We might then want to take our Switch and sit in the shade to enjoy, but Nintendo wants to warn us.

Nintendo’s Weather Tip of the Day

The manufacturer has split a warning tweet with regard to the use of its console during hot weather. It is therefore not recommended to play the Switch when the temperature of the room or the place where you are exceeds 35 degrees according to Nintendo (and when it is less than 5 degrees)in order to avoid potential overheating of the console.

Taking your Switch on board to play outside in the sun is therefore not a good idea according to the manufacturer, who also reminds us that we must ensure that the ventilation is not blocked on the machine, so that the air can circulate well. .

Always good advice to take, even if your Switch is not going to explode above 35 degrees.
