For this end of the year, nintendo thought it would be nice to highlight the independent games of his machine. Since the beginning of the week, we have been entitled to a short video presentation which looks back on several upcoming titles. Thus, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, a dozen indies were highlighted, and the manufacturer continues today with four new games to discover. Here’s what to remember from this penultimate presentation.
Rhythm, metroidvania and smiles
These are again four independent games that are presented this Thursday evening. As always, the show is very short and allows you to discover potential future nuggets in less than five minutes. It started with the surprise release of a Switch version for Melatonin, a charming dreamlike rhythm game, released a few days ago on Steam. We knew he would arrive on Big N’s machine one day, and he finally arrived by surprise in stride. For fifteen euros, you can get your hands on this title with a light artistic direction now.
The second announcement is probably one of the most important of the day: afterimage unveiled a trailer while confirming its release date. The action RPG with metroidvania components, which we presented to you at the start of the school year, will make its debut on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch April 25, 2023. Remember that the title will make us follow Renée, a young woman who will have to wield weapons and magic to face a plethora of enemies.
In a completely different proposition, smile for me also resurfaced to announce console versions. The point’n’click adventure game was released on Steam in May 2019 and was well appreciated by the community, with its quirky tone and abstract universe. Good news for people who wanted it on console, it will arrive in spring 2023 on all platformswith a physical version as a bonus on PlayStation and Switch as well as a rather extensive collector’s item.
At last, Hyper Gunsport came to close the show by also surprising us with immediate availability on Switch, Steam and Xbox consoles. It will also arrive on PS4 and PS5 “soon”. Very arcade action game, the title offers a simple concept, volleyball with guns, all in a cyberpunk universe. Its main interest lies of course in the multiplayer game, especially locally, to compete with relatives.
