For many fans, the Nintendo Switch is not powerful enough, which is why the desire for a Switch Pro or a Nintendo Switch 2 remains.
In 2021, Nintendo released the OLED model of the Switch, but apparently Nintendo will not launch any new hardware in 2022. This concludes the game magazine VGC from a report by the Japanese business newspaper Nikkei, which is available behind a payment barrier.
The report covers a drop in hardware and software sales in the last three months to June 2022 compared to the previous year. In order to still achieve the sales targets, Nintendo should now concentrate fully on procuring enough material to produce enough switch consoles.
